    Hi, everything ive read and been told is that eggs should be weighed in shells and that all other ingredients should match that eggs in shells weight, gou say out of shells, not sure what to do now

    When you say you let it dry do you put it in the fridge or sitting out and can royal icing go in the fridge

      So sorry I’ve not seen your comment sooner, I mean leave it out to dry you don’t want to put fondant or royal icing in the fridge as it will sweat when it comes out of the fridge x

    Just a good suggestion- heat your jam before you put it on your cake and sieve it. Makes it perfect. Another suggestion if you use alcohol on your marzipan it doesn’t make it wet and the icing really sticks.

    A smoother would have helped smooth the psstes closer to the cake andbthe bottom and would avoid those holes at the bottom esp if you're not piping a border.

    Thank you for sharing your ideas Beautiful Question I am new in this field cake decorating my passion you show us on dummy cake now do you save or wash it and re use dummies because they are not cheap 😊 Spending so much fondant and sliver leaves I real want more show from you

      Sorry for the slow reply, for buttercream I do 50% real butter to 100% icing sugar. So 250 g of butter to 500 g of icing sugar. I will beat the butter for about five minutes till it’s really light and fluffy before incorporating my icing sugar then I let it Whip for at least five minutes, lastly I had some good quality vanilla extract xx

      Hi I make my royal icing with powdered egg white and icing sugar I tend to gage it by eye with how much icing sugar to use, and nearly always have to add more icing sugar to whip it up to light and fluffy. One key thing when your making royal icing is to leave it whipping for at least 5 minutes to get it really fluffy. I would start with 150g icing sugar to the equivalent of 1 egg white, add more once that has fully incorporated xx

      @@melaniemacias4362 hi yes the Wilton powder should give you a guide of how much powder to water to mix, and this is the equivalent of an egg white. Then you can beat it with your icing sugar. I whip mine for at least 5 mins to get it really light and fluffy x

      @@mayankakhetarpal7623 hi sorry for the slow reply, the wafer paper is normally smooth side out/showing but it’s really personal preference. You can pop a wire through the middle to attach it if you wanted to.

      Hi sorry for the slow reply, yes you can use it on buttercream cakes but you need to freeze the cake for about 30 mins first so it’s set enough to stencil on without damaging the butter cream xx
